Don't Judge Me for My Good Days: Psoriatic-arthritis.com
(This was posted Feb 16, 2024 - but I thought it was such a great topic that I wanted to repost it.) Please don't judge me based on my good days. Looks can be deceiving for someone with a chronic illness. What looks like a good day might actually be a good day. Or it might be a good few hours. Or it could be someone doing their best to function through the pain. You don't honestly know what someone is going through, especially when they have lived with the pain for a long time. You'd be surprised how much pain people can learn to smile through. Read the full article at psoriatic-arthritis.com
Very true :) Sometimes, I kinda feel like saying, "I get the point! You can stop with the pain now." Haha. But it does make you appreciate things that you never even noticed before. These are my "victory dance" accomplishments now:
ReplyDelete-Climbing a flight of stairs.
-Baking!
-When my arms work enough so I can hold my niece :)
-Taking a short walk.
-Getting up before noon.
-Eating a meal without too much difficulty (forks are hard for me).
-Having the mental energy to write.
I always celebrate when I can accomplish the things on that list, even if they don't happen very often.
It really does.
DeleteIs being able to accomplish the victory dance part of the list as well? :D
Hah! Well, that's why I put it in quotations. Sometimes my victory dance is just doing a little fist pump in the air ;)
